Expanded Learning

Killybrooke Elementary offers various expanded learning experiences for students. Please check with the school for the most updated information.

Project Kidz Connect - After School Program

At Killybrooke, our Expanded Learning Program is structured, engaging, and truly top notch. We are proud to offer this free after-school program for students in grades TK–6. The program runs five days a week, from dismissal until 6:00 p.m., on all regular school days.

Enrollment is based on need and space availability, and all students must be registered and accepted before participating.

Program attendance is mandatory on all days that students attend school. To support families with flexibility, we offer two daily pickup windows: 4:20–4:30 p.m. or 5:30–6:00 p.m. Regular attendance is required; excessive absences may result in removal from the program.

ROCKS - After School Program

Recreation on Campus for Kids (R.O.C.K.S) afterschool program is a fee-based program at the following Newport-Mesa Unified School District elementary school sites: Adams, California, College Park, Davis, Killybrooke, Paularino, Sonora, Victoria and Whittier. The R.O.C.K.S Program provides supervision by City of Costa Mesa Parks & Community Services staff on the school’s playground Monday through Friday from the time school is dismissed until 6:00 p.m. for children in grades kindergarten through 6. The program is open during the school year and is closed during all school holidays, in-service days, and vacation breaks. This program focuses on four areas: educational activities, youth sports, recreation, and arts & crafts. Staff encourages personal growth, academic enrichment, and group cooperation in a structured environment.

For more information, contact the R.O.C.K.S staff at (714) 754-5013.
