Student Leadership
At Killybrooke Elementary, there are many exciting ways for students to shine as leaders and make a positive impact on our school community.
Our PBIS Ambassador Program, led by Tanya Madero, focuses on creating a welcoming and inclusive campus culture. These student leaders ensure every peer feels seen and valued by organizing engaging activities, welcoming new students, and helping resolve conflicts to promote harmony.
Our Student Government, led by Sara Steuart, takes charge of communication and school spirit. These representatives lead *Flag Deck Fridays*, design vibrant posters, make school-wide announcements, and organize fun initiatives, especially during Spirit Weeks, to keep our school energized and connected.
Our Student Newscast Team adds a creative flair by producing weekly video announcements. They write, film, and publish segments featuring student interviews, weather reports, menu updates, and a College of the Week spotlight. This initiative increases awareness of local, state, and national colleges, highlighting options and admissions requirements to inspire our students to be college and career ready.
At Killybrooke, student leadership is thriving—and every day, our leaders demonstrate that we are College Bound!
