Attendance Matters - Stay Strong!
The 2023-24 school year is well underway, and we are proud of all the great things students have accomplished in their learning and extracurriculars! As the holiday season draws closer, we want to remind everyone how crucial attendance is – even during this busy and exciting time.
We know the importance of spending time with families and friends during the holidays and breaks from school. Students have a Fall Break Nov. 22 through Nov. 24 and a Winter Break Dec. 25 through Jan. 5 to ensure they have ample time to rest, rejuvenate and spend time with their loved ones. (Note: Early College High School has different breaks.)
We understand that illnesses happen, and we appreciate you keeping your child home when sick. Outside of illness, and when possible, please plan family vacations around scheduled school breaks and schedule student appointments after school. If scheduling an appointment during the school day is unavoidable, your child should attend school before or after their appointment.
Every day matters and important lessons and concepts continue to be taught even when your child is ill and during the holiday season. It is vital that all students continue to attend class every day that they are healthy.
Thank you for playing your part in helping your student(s) succeed and make the most out of their educational experience. If you have any concerns or need any support with your child(ren)'s attendance, please do not hesitate to reach out to your school.
